Downloading the WeWALK App and Connecting WeWALK

Before using WeWALK for the first time, we advise that you charge the WeWALK device for about 2 hours to ensure that you get started with a fully charged device.

To get started, download the WeWALK app from your device’s app store. When launching the WeWALK app for the first time, you will be asked to grant permission for notifications. This will appear as a dialog box. We recommend enabling notifications as these will tell you about new app features.

The visual preferences screen will then open. If you are a low vision user, you can change these settings to make the app’s interface easier to see.The default theme uses black text on a white background. This can be changed to white or yellow text on a black background. The text size can also be changed according to your preferences.Once you have completed customizing the visual preferences, tap the “Apply” button.

The next screen will then tell you about what’s new in the app. Here, you can learn about the changes and features our team has been working on. Tap the “Ok” button to go to the next screen. The next screen will request permission to access your location. Location access must be allowed to enable the app’s navigation features.

After completing the permissions, you will be presented with the sign-up screen. We recommend creating an account to make full use of the app and future features. To sign up, enter your full name, date of birth, email, phone number, and password, and then tap on the “Sign Up” button. You can edit this information at any time from the accounts tab. This information will be kept private and will not be shared with any 3rd parties.
